Sunday Morning Reflections- Stay Busy
So in Matt 24:45-51 there is this direct and somewhat brash Jesus speak in which he basically states work hard don’t quit and stay busy…
Driving
Getting serious about becoming the instrument in God’s hand… Getting used or becoming useful…

Sunday Morning Reflections- prophets o prophecy
“all prophets must speak to their own time first that is their captive audience”
Waiting on the Lord that patience might produce faithfulness and even fruitfulness… That he would desire patient enduring over Action is striking in light of our hope
Our own arms bring no peace…
Scripture and history attest to the failing might of man.. All men grow weary…...

How will you engage the world around you… Who will you promote throughout your jouney… Traveller we may be but identifiable also… Who we represent may be made not in our boasting but in our humility… Life love speech and purity… Pelicular order

Sunday Morning Reflection- Lost Coin
Luke 15 “the woman and the lost coin”
It wasn’t that she didn’t care about the coin but it was gone from her proximity and she set out to find it… She needs it back….
It was at once hers, but is no more he used to own it (pastor frames woman not a god but as us)
Do you know where your sons and daughters are?
Those that were yours…

Sunday Morning Reflections- tell me
“and when He became a believer” …Tell me the story of their conversion, let me in on the narrative of their struggle and calling… Their choice and choosing… I want to know what the when embodies as why that is an absent chapter in your telling
Preaching Reminder
One thought I have had recently is that those that preach or speak labor under the grind of newness and originality when there is such a freedom in just preaching reminder. To be the memory bearers, the givers (book reference), restorers of broken Minds disconected parts….. What if our best effort is just to speak the simple truths not with hard edge or extra sparkle… Remember and...

Not yet home
So sitting in my in laws house…. Sick and congested and waiting for Karen to arrive… I notice out my window an old tree missing branches and an elderly couple walking by…. All I can think about is the future and as I let myself dream, wonder if wanting always the next thing is somehow not just part of the scheme…
Sunday Morning Thinking-Christ in Colossians
So there is this really poetic hymn thy Paul writes or recites in the opening chapter of Colossians. It containsthe mystery, primacy, and effigy of Christ. A tribute and reminder a symbol to beholden to and yield a lyric worth stopping for and living under. The divinity of His being and mission of reckoning. The mark and mission.

Thursday mornings
Sometimes thursday morning brings me joy sometimes work often peace but rarely calm the unfortunate sabbath affords pleasure but what if instead of pleasure I could just buy calm….
Passing is not as fleeting as it would seem...
Funeral maybe made monumental but like a wedding is no marriage neither a memorial an end to grief the book is neither closed nor penned…. Swift the death comes but slow the healing
Oh life oh death oh the maker of both
excited to utilize more tumbling
this just seems to work out so much better than blogger and the other free platforms
